The fishing artist

The painted, lichen green, pearl-panelled walls in the bedrooms, as was customary in old wooden houses, give the room a warm and pleasant feel. The bathrooms have Høganäs tiles in the shower area and on the floors. The rooms have a view of the farm yard, through windows framed by French linen curtains. The main room with a king size bed, is furnished with a small seating group, and has direct access to the nicely planted garden area.

No anglers in the Aurlandselva river are more passionate about the river than the Buxton family from Norfolk. We have furnished the room in memory of Theresa Buxton, John Buxton’s maiden aunt, who looked after her nephew and nieces with watercolours and a sketch block at the ready. When she was not fishing, that is.

NB! The room is being renovated fall 2023 and will be converted from a single room to a suite with a separate living room with a sofa bed. Pictures will be posted shortly.
