We are proud to serve you tasty, local and organic food, some of it sourced from our kitchen garden and some collected from local farmers and producers.

We cook with a smile and focus on taste, health and letting our local ingredients shine through in every meal.

As long as we are made aware of it, we also cater to different dietary needs.

A COLOURFUL SPRING

The area surrounding the Sognefjord is the “orchard of Norway”, and the largest area for fruit production. Every spring our villages come to life and dress up in delicate, beautiful apple blossoms only disturbed by busy honey bees.

A NATIONAL CENTRE FOR ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

Close to 292 Aurland Boutique hotel you will find one of our suppliers of fantastic produce and ingredients, Sogn Jord- og Hagebruksskule, a national centre for organic agriculture. The farm is completely converted to organic production, and boasts a great variety of animals (dairy cattle, goats, sheep and workhorses), vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs.

Sogn school of organic agriculture and horticulture, gives students of all ages an opportunity to learn about organic farming at a professional level.

WE FIGHT FOR THE WILD SALMON AND TROUT

Reduced salmon populations are caused both by human impacts and a general and large-scale reduction in survival at sea. Populations in middle and western Norway are most severely reduced. Escaped farmed salmon, salmon lice and infections from salmon farming are the greatest anthropogenic threats to Norwegian wild salmon.  You will never find farmed salmon on out plates and we are proud and fortunate to serve wild mountain trout.
