The Aurland river was once rated as one of Europes three best rivers for trout fishing - with traditions reaching more than a hundres years back in time.

The British upper class came to Aurland with their fishing rods in late 1800 and made fly fishing a sport - or is it better to call it an art?

Every year Aurland is host to fly fishing enthusiasts from all over the world.

When the Nærøyfjord was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2005, it wasn´t only because of the beautiful Norwegian fjord landscape. In every nook and cranny there is life, small villages with their very own soul and beating heart.

It might look like the mountain sides drop straight into the fjord, but Norwegian farmers are experts in finding a way - hearding sheep and goats to their summer farms.

On this adventure we invite you to join us on a roundtrip that covers it all.Join us on a summer farm visit and try the local goats cheese and sausage. Walk around the old town of Lærdal - and see the beautiful, thousand year old Borgund Stave Church.

Experience the contrast between the old church and the new architectural marvel that is Stegastein lookout point on the National Tourist Route Aurlandsfjellet.
