JERICHO

The love nest

Since every room on the farm is named after anglers who have been important to the river and the farm – well, frankly, we were starting to run out of names. Since the first Englishmen started coming with their fly-fishing rods as early as in the 1840s, they have left their mark on Aurland.  For some reason, ‘Jericho’ was the name they gave to a very beautiful stretch of the river. So, welcome to Jericho! ‘Our’ Jericho is peaceful and dry – and it is tastefully and pleasantly decorated, with William Morris wallpaper, beautiful textiles – and cowhides and goatskins on the floor. And the bathroom fittings are made from the cog-jointed timbers from the ‘Smokehouse ‘– and are therefore more than 300 years old.
