As we try to promote sustainable tourism in the world heritage listed area we ask for a minimum stay of two nights and to join one of our activities or more in peak season between 15th of June and September 1st.


As we are a small familiy owned boutique hotel, we sincerely appreciate it if you can time your arrival between 3 pm – 6.30 pm


Check out before 11 am.

Pick-up and drop-off can be arranged at an extra charge.


The room rate includes local and organic breakfast served between 8 am – 10 am, afternoon tea served at 5 pm, three course farm-to- table dinner served in our converted Smokehouse at 7 pm.

Dinner is served with an introduction to the area and it´s local traditions and culture.

Bikes are available and free of charge during your visit.


Wood fired hot tub and sauna is for private use only and can be booked in advance at a rate of 1800 NOK.

We offer slow adventures like hiking, pasture farm visits, mountain biking, traditional wooden rowboats, fly fishing in the river, fishing in mountain lakes, fjord kayaking, snow shoeing and nordic skiing when the weather allows.


Waterfall hike, “hike the peak”,  and a hike down the Aurlandsdalen valley, also referred to as “The Grand canyon of the North” and ranked as one of the ten top hikes in the country are among our popular hikes.


Private guided tours will take you along the world heritage listed Naeroyfjord and a fjord cruise back to Aurland, or to one of the spectacular mountain farms with no road connection overlooking the world heritage listed area. Private boat shuttle.


Private experiences from 7500 NOK for 2 persons full day or from 3500 half day.

Joined group (minimum 4 guests) full day experiences, 2300 NOK per person including packed lunch and transport. Children (5-13) 900 NOK.

Booking policy

The following terms and conditions apply for reservations made at 29|2 Aurland.


For agents and operators we ask for an upfront payment minimum 30 days prior to arrival.


Independent travellers must  pay the full amount up front to secure the booking.


Booking of packages will not be refunded if cancelled less than 40 days prior to arrival.



Booking of rooms with half board

If cancelled 30 days prior to arrival – 100% refund

If cancelled 20 days prior to arrival – 80% refund

If cancelled 10 days prior to arrival – 50% refund

If cancelled 7 days prior to arrival or less – no refund


Note: The word arrival means the first day of arrival as stated in your reservation.


Cancellation policy for  “Buy out” of the premises

If cancelled 7 months or more prior to arrival –  100% refund

If cancelled 6 months or less prior to arrival – no refund


Cancellation policy for  5 rooms or more (The Fisherman`s cabin)

If cancelled 6 months prior to arrival – 100% refund

If cancelled 4 months prior to arrival –  60% refund

If cancelled less than 4 months prior to arrival –  no refund


Force Majeure/Disclaimer

29|2 Aurland shall not be held liable for the consequences of poor weather conditions, closed facilities or other factors outside the company’s control. Should any faults occur, 29|2 Aurland is fully entitled to cancel the booking.

We recommend making an annulation costs insurance with your insurance company, for independent travelers which covers cancellation costs in case of short-term cancellations caused by unforeseen circumstances.


Advanced payment:

Any advanced payments will be offset against the cancellation fee. The difference will be refunded / charged to the guest.
